Up for sale is a professionally refurbished Singer 362 sewing machine. This wonderful sewing machine features both straight & zig zag! This is a general use domestic machine and will stitch anything from mid-weight leather and denim to fine silk with a stitch range from 6 to 30 stitches per inch.
This handy gal features a foot control, straight-lock stitch, four width pattens in zig zag, four width patterns in point stitch. Forward and reverse, thread cutter, bobbin winder, 3 position needle settings. She'll hold any size needles between a size 8 to a size 22.
This is the perfect machine for both the expert & the beginning sewer!
The outer case is plastic, but the mechanism of this belt driven gal is all metal; all steel precision gears and drive shafts and encased in a cast iron frame and table. This machine is built like a tank and runs just like a top.
There's a bit of chipping along the needle plate and a few scuffs here and there... She's an older lady and bears a few marks of time. This is still a beautiful machine and comes ready to go in her original cabinet.

How many layers of jeans do you want to sew ?
I had no problem on 10 layers !! This machine is also for every day sewing on light to medium fabrics like silk, chiffon, nylon, polyester, cotton, etc.
This machine WILL NOT sew horse saddles, knife sheaths (hard and very dense vegetable tanned leather), hard tooling leather, dogs collars or other hard to pierce things: for this you need a post bed machine. It WILL NOT sew anything exceeding 5/16'' inch thick.
