CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified CADD Technician to join our Rocky Hill, CT office to lead computer:aided design and drafting (CADD) for transportation design projects (facilities, bridges, roadways). The ideal candidate should have 5 or more years of experience with proficiency in MicroStation V8i and InRoads V8i, and experience with AutoCAD. We are seeking candidates who have specific experience with CTDOTA?s Digital Project Development Manual. Strong communication skills, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality control are required for this opportunity.Collaborate with design engineers to develop construction drawings for transportation facilities, bridges, and roadways.Coordinate multi:discipline CADD activities and complete complex assignments requiring knowledge of advanced CADD techniques.Understand and create environment variables for project specific workspace configurations.Contribute to the development of CADD work flows and processes for multi:platform (MicroStation and AutoCAD) projects.Review design drawings to ensure adherence to established CADD standards.Prepare CADD graphics for reports, meetings, and other staff needs.Education:An Associates degree or completion of technical trade school in CADD or a related field is preferred.Experience:10 years of experience with proficiency in MicroStation V8i and InRoads V8i, and experience with AutoCAD.
