Responsible for overseeing the specific critical asset cyber security compliance program to the NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection standards for the affected critical site (s). Primary responsibilities include:
:Working independently, perform all site/application specific activities, tests and controls (i.e. Catsweb controls) for meeting program requirements and ongoing compliance
:Maintain site/application documentation, information protection and procedures to support physical and electronic security plans
:Participate in Cyber Vulnerability Assessments and activities to mitigate compliance issues in accordance with CIP requirements
:Reconcile discrepancies between documented lists and system generated reports of system access
:Serve as point of contact for controlling and documenting access to protected assets, information, and environments and perform cyber assessments and activities and assessments in accordance with CIP requirements
:For new sites in region, develop and/or assist in creation of work scope, design of Cyber Security configuration around systems, implementation and training at site, benchmarking and commissioning
:Grant and revoke electronic access to site control systems and related sensitive information, according to established policies and processes
:Grant and revoke physical access to restricted, access:controlled areas, according to established policies and processes
:Own and maintain updates to documentation records as they relate to lists of authorized personnel
:Execute, manage and maintain appropriate controls for physical access and electronic access for control devices
:Assist Regional CIP Manager in preparation for various audits and act as SME for site/application. Develop recommendations, responses and remediation plans in response to audit findings
:Perform activities for information protection, account management and configuration and procedures to support physical and electronic security plans and maintain site documentation
:Perform necessary patch assessment for region, site or system, malware and antivirus updates and backups as required using appropriate change control methods.
:Conduct periodic maintenance of physical perimeters in accordance with site physical plans
:Monitor physical and electronic perimeters for potential breaches and act as first responder for any potential breach or incident
:Respond to any potential breach and conduct recovery and backup effort as necessary
:Perform required incident response, recovery and backup tests with sites
:Work with Regional CIP Manager, Corporate Security and IT to perform periodic review as well as revise structure of security configuration based upon changes in regulations
:Perform necessary testing and assessments in conjunction with Regional CIP Manager and IT
:Analyze cyber vulnerability assessments, develop and implement corrective action plans
:Serve as primary SME on site specific hardware, software and control architectures, research and recommend new products and utilize best practices and knowledge of internal/external issues to improve or provide technical or compliance solutions.
:Work with vendors to ensure solutions deployed are compliant to regulations and in alignment with corporate standards
