Key Responsibilities
:Assist in the performance and execution of on:site energy audits; Investigate pre:project conditions; document existing room:by:room lighting conditions; collect field data as they relate to HVAC, mechanical, electrical, pumping, and water systems.
:Perform measure analyses, savings calculation, and compose measure recommendations
:Perform utility analysis of customer billing accounts, develop graphical representations of consumption and demand profiles.
:Develop customer end:use analysis profiles using spreadsheet based platforms.
:Verify installation, operations, and performance characteristics of energy:efficient equipment.
:Install measurement equipment and analyzing measured data (including light and temperature loggers, and other data acquisition equipment).
:Interview client facilities personnel (as directed).
:Prepare information requests for
clients/consultants to address and resolve deficiencies.
:Provide follow:up support with respect to vendor proposals; solicit pricing estimates from vendor community; research pricing and costing information utilizing RS Means Cost Data manuals.
:Research performance standards and efficiencies to discern potential equipment and/or systems recommendations.
:Keep abreast of technology trends and changes in this rapidly evolving market; achieve industry accreditations that will serve to convey competency in core business activities.
Qualifications (bolded ones required)
:Bachelor of Science (BS) or Bachelor of Technology (BT) degree in Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with substantial electrical systems knowledge
:2 : 8 years of experience, preferably in a consulting or contracting environment with an energy engineering or energy services company
:Absolute fluency in English, with very strong oral and written communication skills
:Must be willing to travel as required
:Knowledge of energy savings performance contracting (ESPC, energy auditing procedures, energy modeling (Trane Trace, E:Quest, etc.) and measurement and verification of energy savings is a major plus
:Experience and knowledge of electrical energy
conservation/efficiency opportunities
:Certified Energy Manager, M and V Professional, and/or LEED Accreditation preferred
:Solid analytical and technical skills, with experience in energy modeling and statistical analysis (e.g., regression analysis) an asset.
:Proficiency with MS Office
:Ability to work well with all levels of management, staff and external contacts
:Impeccable attention to detail
