Essential Job Functions:
Support materials section and designs of aerospace components.
Participate as the materials engineer on an interdisciplinary design team.
Work with design engineers to make materials selection. Review designs and highlight potential issues with materials selection.
Consult regularly with Materials Experts to resolve complex technical issues involving specialized fields such as surface treatments, heat treatments, welding and braising etc.
Follow detailed processes for documenting engineering evidence throughout the design process.
Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement and take ownership for implementation.

Qualifications:
B.S. Materials
Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Materials concentration or equivalent experience
1:5 years materials engineering experience
Understanding of Materials and processing topics, including materials selection, heat treatment, mechanical testing, corrosion, welding, coatings and nonmetallic engineering materials.
Ability to manage the customers perceptions and showcase QuESTs achievements
Proficiency with MS:Office Suite Tools and Creation of PowerPoint Documents
Experience with Technical Writing and conducting formal presentations
