Business DevelopmentMaintains pleasant, professional public relations with clients and project abutters to enhance the prospects of repeat business.AdministrationAssists with the set up and operation of the field office. Prepares and maintains all required records following current Construction Services guidelines. Forward to Chief Certified Construction Representative or other manager as assigned, on at least a weekly basis, copies of all pertinent records including Daily Work Reports, Weekly Reports, field correspondence, conference memoranda, change orders, payment estimates, shop drawings, requests for information and comments on plans and specifications.ManagementResolves day:to:day record keeping issues and answers specific technical questions which arise with assistance from the Chief Certified Construction Representative or other manager as assigned and as appropriate Not less than four (4) years employment in construction projects (highways, facilities or Rail) maintaining projects records. Individual must have considerable knowledge in establishing and maintaining project records consistent with the Owners policies and procedures. Ability to prepare change orders, material testing requests and reports, filing and the use of applicable software and record keeping methods. Ability to meet deadlines, to work cooperatively with others and when necessary, work overtime, weekends and/or nights.Must have a valid driverA?s license and the ability to do physical tasks normally required of an Office Engineer, lift a minimum of 50 lbs, climb ladders, travel over rough terrain. Certifications/Education:NICET Level II Certification in Transportation/Highway Construction is required except for those possessing a current Professional EngineerA?s License in the State of Connecticut (PE) or a Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field, copy of current certificate, diploma or license required.
