CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Rocky Hill, CT office. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for the technical management, execution, and oversight of his/her assigned projects, serving in a lead technical role on transportation projects. The position will also require business development activities, including meeting with clients and preparing proposals to secure work. The successful candidate must be technically astute in transportation engineering and have a proven background of technical leadership on transportation projects. Serves in a lead technical role on bridge and other transportation related projects.Performs complex structural planning, analysis and design for all structural aspects of transportation projects.Performs as a technical specialist or project manager on mid:size projects and supervise more junior engineers in the performance of engineering tasks.Project and task management, development of technical study reports and assists in development of department technical policy and procedures.Prepares calculations, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.Mentors junior staff.Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering.10: 15 years of progressive transportation structures experience.PE is required.Experience on ConnDOT transportation projects.Demonstrating thorough knowledge of bridge engineering principles and the AASHTO and AREMA codes.Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teams. Project management skills desirable.Strong communication skills and enthusiastic to work in a team environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office software; experience with bridge design software; experience with bridge analysis and design programs and MicroStation preferred.Experience with putting together winning proposals and delivering presentations for new work.
