J. Morrissey has been selected by a highly regarded, specialty financial services firm to recruit an experienced CPA for a senior financial role. The ideal candidate is a CPA from a "Big 4" or large regional CPA firm, and has a minimum of 3 years real estate accounting experience The position is responsible for the following: Responsible for overseeing the financial administration and reporting for funds, separate accounts and/or joint venture investments Accounting requirements, including incentive, management and acquisition fee calculations as well as consolidation and equity method accounting Assist asset and property managers with the annual budgeting process within the respective investment portfolios Responsible for the preparation of quarterly reports and annual audited financial statements and footnotes in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) Coordinate with external auditors for all audit and tax preparation information and will be responsible for timely and accurate filings for both audit and tax REQUIREMENTS CPA from a "Big 4" or regional firm is required A minimum of 4-6 years of related experience A minimum of three years real estate accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP, investment and partnership accounting
