POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for increasing sales of Fluid Control platform products and solutions within North America. The successful candidate will work with Norgren Sales resources and partners to drive top line revenue growth through the Farmington, Connecticut (KIP) facility. Central to this role is the ongoing training and education of our sales force relative to product and competitive offerings. Acts as a catalyst alongside field sales to qualify, acquire and manage strategically important opportunities and existing accounts. In addition, this position will also provide project management support for all commercial aspects of customer opportunities within the facility and be accountable to annual sales goals for the site. Travel requirements Average expected to be about 35 - 40% of total work hours. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop business cases for new product & solution development to be considered for resource within engineering. Maintain structured data on the competition relative to product portfolio, pricing strategies and strengths and weaknesses of all company offerings. Coordinate and help to close on new, modified, and custom product opportunities within assigned account base, portfolio and/or geography. Assist in the determination of market based pricing and competitive special pricing requests. Assist with the development and management of assigned portfolios unit and revenue forecast. Provide product training and support materials to further the education and competency levels of the field sales group. Specifically with respect to Norgren and competitive product features, functions, benefits and weaknesses. Proactively serve on the account team with field sales on all major accounts and identified opportunities. Evaluate and recommend for development products and/or projects brought forth through field sales in the business development (BDB) process. Ensure all account activity and contacts are kept up to date in designated CRM system. Provides key inputs to Division with respect to customer expectations and whether they are being consistently met or exceeded. Develops and communicates all sales statistics related to the assigned portfolio, application segment and/or geography assigned. Support quarterly forecasts of booked and recognized revenue into SPI process. Provide business analysis - forecast, measure, track and report business outlook, sales opportunities and quota attainment for the KIP Division. Continually document, re-assess and re-design key internal procedures related to sales activities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, accountability, and profitability. Track competitive deals to improve market pricing and positioning. Manage a centralized standard set of data needed to enable consistent proposal development. SUPERVISION: Reports directly to the VP of Sales - Industrial. In addition, you will be expected to work with peers in other functional departments to meet customers ongoing needs. EXPERTISE REQUIRED Have the ability to develop solutions by applying Norgrens products and services to solve customers needs and requirements. Deep understanding of the portfolios targeted application segments. Technical competency in the pneumatic and fluid control product area. ACCOUNTABILITY: To grow revenue and market share for assigned portfolio, application segment and/or geography. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The position requires eight to ten years of specific industry and technology experience. Undergraduate degree in Engineering or significant applied technology experience. PC proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office and Outlook and CRM tool suites. Demonstrated comfort working in a cross-functional, matrix-oriented, multinational environment. Comfort working in an extremely fast-paced setting, with proven ability to take initiative in an environment that at times can be ambiguous. NORGREN, INC.
