Job Summary
Performs complex investigations for all levels of the company. Plans and conducts investigations including employee interviews, collects and examines evidence, analyzes evidence for materiality and relevance, and documents the results of the investigation in a report that is well:written, concise and reaches conclusions based on the evidence. Makes recommendations and implements agreed upon solutions. Conducts trend analysis and identifies patterns of behavior.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts and coordinates internal and external investigations relating to violations of Company policy including misuse of company assets, fraud or other financial misconduct, loss of intellectual property and workplace security incidents enterprise wide. Provides investigation expertise and implementation of solutions in any situation where workplace violence is suspected. Maintains confidentiality in all actions. Conducts risk assessments and identifies process improvements. Partners with other internal organizations and external organizations as needed. Ability to testify in court or at administrative proceedings as needed.
Job Specific and Technical Skills and Competencies
Must have excellent oral and written communications skills, analytical and problem solving skills, and knowledge of Excel. Expertise in white:collar crime investigations, conducting background or social media investigations, and knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry is preferred. Familiarity with US and International privacy laws and employment laws is helpful. Domestic and International travel may be required.
Education, Work Experience and Knowledge
BS in Criminal Justice, Finance, Human Resources or equivalent and 5+ years professional experience in conducting internal investigations or compliance, Legal, HR or Finance background preferred. CFE, JD, and/or CPA helpful.
Environmental/Work Schedules/OthertStrong knowledge of property crimes and crimes against persons, oral and written communications skills; analytical and problem solving skills; and strong knowledge of the investigation of losses and workplace threats.
