Job SummaryThe Forensic Technician I may be responsible for arranging shipments of evidence, including hiring riggers and equipment to handle large evidence.
Primary Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Forensic Technician I will be responsible for carrying out a variety of different tasks at the discretion of the Forensic Specialists or lab manager. Such tasks will involve but not be limited to: Evidence log in, warehouse operations, fork lift operation, shipping and receiving, photography, testing support (jig, fixture and model construction, data collection, etc), and purchasing. The Level Forensic Technician I may also be responsible for arranging shipments of evidence, including hiring riggers and equipment to handle large evidence.
Education, Work Experience and KnowledgeThe successful candidate should have a minimum high school diploma. An associates degree in science or engineering or a certificate in the mechanical, electrical or construction trades is preferred but not necessary as long as the candidate demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude, an ability to follow directions, can work independently, is capable of using hand and power tools and has knowledge and familiarity with basic office computer programs.Warehouse experience/forklift training Excellent communications skills necessary for interacting with Risk Control staff, Claims representative, Investigators and internal and external council. Good Mechanical, electrical and organizational skill necessary to assist Consultants in the examination of evidence. Computer Skills
